ABOUT THE JOB:

The role will work with the Group Security Senior Leadership across organisation and more closely with Transformation and Delivery Senior leadership on a larger-scale organisational-wide program. The range of initiatives will span from a single project within a line of business in a single region through to working across lines of business across multi-regions and in a complex stakeholder environment. 

 

The role also includes responsibility for supporting the offshore setup of SSP PMO, supporting onshore Delivery Owners and PM’s in initiating, managing and closing the projects and taking a leadership role in all offshore and onshore T&D processes such as quality/control, communication, stakeholder management, direct/indirect people leadership and knowledge harvesting. 

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Leadership – Leading and building the team. Its utmost important to have leadership skills with a prior experience of leading a mid to large size team. Ability to work in global construct, influence others, guiding team and working in a shared strategy model is key for the success of this role. ​​

  • Program Financial Management – a good understanding of finance management, OPEX & CAPEX models 

  • Program Reporting Management – Program level governance to ensure submission of all project and subdomain reporting on time.  

  • Program Benefits & Support Cost Management – Support PMO Manager, Delivery Owner and PM in facilitating delivery of the business outcomes and to enable the project sponsor to realize return the investment. 

  • Knowledge Management – Support PMO Manager, Delivery Owner and PM to ensure they adhere and contribute to knowledge management objectives and processes. Ensure knowledge harvesting occurs at all appropriate phases of the project. 

  •  Team size: 15-25 people including indirect reports

HOW TO TO SUCCESS:

  • Time Management - Develop and maintain project resource and work plans. Monitor project plans to reflect project progress, change and issues resolutions. 

  • Resource Management – Acquire and manage project resources. 

  • Maintain a good understanding of international best practice, industry trends and directions in both business and technology, and an awareness of global developments. 

  • Provide the project community with leadership and subject matter expertise in project execution. 

  • Lead and motivate reporting project team members including coaching/mentoring, performance management, identification of training/development needs etc. to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge to perform their role. 

  • Good team player, willingness to learn new tools and processes, flexible. Act to resolve issues that prevent the team working efficiently. Address sub-standard work, ensuring PMO standards are maintained. Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making

YOUR ESSENTIAL CAPABILITITES

  • Cost Management - Monitor financials to ensure achievement and accurate capture of planned project costs and benefits. 

  • Reporting & Governance Management – Project status reporting and Governance. Work with the PM to ensure that key status reporting and governance obligations are completed  

  • Risk Management - Project level risk and issue management and resolution including escalation as required. Work with the PM to ensure overall risk and issue assessment, planning and impact analysis for the project. 

  • Procurement Management – Work with the PM to manage the procurement management of internal/external specialist services, specification of requirements, supplier delivery, cost and quality. 

  • Post Implementation Reviews - Support PM to ensure that the changes delivered by the project are embedded. Contribute to the review of project successes through participation in Post Implementation Reviews.
