CERTIFIED PEER SPECIALIST

Behavioral Crisis Center - Columbia, Missouri

Full-Time

Mon-Fri Overnight

Join our team at Burrell's Behavioral Crisis Center in Columbia, Missouri, and become an integral part of a compassionate and dedicated team providing rapid access to mental health services. As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals in crisis recover from alcohol and drug dependencies, and achieve their goals.

The Certified Peer Specialist-Weekday Overnight position offers...

• Shift Differential - An additional $1/hr for any hours worked 7pm-7am

***Key responsibilities***

• Participate in treatment planning with the team and client
• Engage clients in a collaborative and caring relationship, using interpersonal skills, knowledge about recovery, and a trauma-informed approach
• Provide support to clients through validation, exploration, and pursuit of community roles, and convey hope and celebrate efforts and accomplishments
• Share personal recovery experiences and practices to inspire and support clients
• Assist clients in identifying their strengths and personal resources to aid in their recovery
• Develop, maintain, and provide information about community resources and services
• Accompany clients to community activities and attend relevant events

***Qualifications***

• High School Diploma/GED
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a favorable recent driving record.
• Must be a Certified Missouri Peer Specialist
