Summary and Qualifications:

As an integral part of our Training team, the Implementation/Field Trainer is responsible for the orientation of Mars Veterinary Healthcare professionals as they embark on using the Voyager Health practice management system in hospitals around the world

The goal is to enhance employees’ skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • Work with the core training team to deliver global training programs.
  • Deliver established educational programs: in-person, virtually, or guided self-study.
  • Deliver instructor-led training, conduct train-the-trainer sessions for multiple hospital sites.
  • Adapt the learning content to address the identified training needs and align with the desired performance outcome.
  • Apply knowledge of adult learning theory to identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience learning styles, course content and desired learning outcomes.
  • Work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with the greater Voyager health development team to understand and deliver updates, work closely with the quality team to identify struggling areas that should be addressed through learning solutions.
  • Support local Champion (Train the Trainer) programs as needed, including delivering training, and supporting Champion mentors.
  • Provide relevant feedback to the wider curriculum development team, impacted end-users and project teams.
  • Manage all classroom/virtual classroom activities to include pre/post consultations, enrollments, end-user performance management.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills, ability to independently manage multiple small to medium scale training projects from initiation to delivery.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with international partners across different time zones and cultures
  • Ability to travel (25%) to hospitals to support go-live and aftercare.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective listening, intercultural collaboration and providing feedback.
  • Bilingual or multilingual highly preferred: Spanish, German, Chinese.
  • Must have valid passport.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
  • Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Information Systems Information is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • 5 years of experience of supporting medium to large scale training projects is required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of adulting learning concepts is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of LMS platforms is required.
  • Proximity to major airport is required.
  • Healthcare background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.
