General Summary:
The Rehab Division Support Team Manager primary responsibilities include managing and coordinating the day-to-day operational functions of the Rehab Division Point-of-Service and PAL teams. This role collaborates closely with rehab leadership to coordinate division operations, performance improvement and service excellence.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for leadership, direction and coordination for the Rehab Division support staff functions (POS and PAL team). Promotes growth and development of staff through counseling, recognition, and feedback.
Fosters and facilitates customer-oriented communication and service excellence. Directs team members in communicating with one another, and serves as a conduit for information that flows between the team and other organizational wide departments. Holds regular staff/team meetings and distributes “Key Take-Aways” following meetings.
Administers all ETA/payroll functions for support staff for the cost center.
Monitor department specific metrics to ensure quality and quantity of standard work for POS and PAL roles.
Coordinates with all stakeholders to ensure collections are processed appropriately and documented within the EHR as outlined in training. Ensure the Point of Service teams are securing all PHI including financial information from our families as outlined and trained.
Assists in the implementation, monitoring and analyzing of systems for patient scheduling.
Assists Sr. Director and Rehab Directors in preparing annual operating budgets. Monitors expenses to enhance fiscal performance.
Liaison between the Rehab Division and Patient Financial Services regarding questions about insurance authorizations.
Oversees and manages quality improvement activities and customer service initiatives related to rehab operations and support staff (POS and PAL).
Participates in the development, implementation and monitoring of customer services standards.
Identifies opportunities for growth, process improvement and cost containment.
Develops and implements systems and process training of POS and PAL team in conjunction with Rehab Leadership.
Functions as Ambulatory Super-User for all Ambulatory-related Epic modules, Scheduling, POS, Templates, Epicare, and Clarity.
The authority to hire, separate, promote, demote, write and administer performance evaluations.
Other job functions as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment required.
Excellent communication/listening skills. Ability to make quick, accurate decisions on a daily basis. Knowledge of medical terminology, third party billing, and managed care requirements. Proficient computer skills and aptitude.
Substantial interpersonal skills sufficient to work effective with pediatric patients, families, physicians, nursing and other allied health and medical center personnel. Good analytical ability, excellent organizational skills.

Pay Range
$83,200.00-$137,280.00 SalaryAt Lurie Children’s, we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity, reflecting individual contributions, experience, and expertise. The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position. Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.
