Position Overview:

As a member of the Leveraged Loan team, provide day-to-day analytics support and serve as a primary liaison to Client Services, external Collateral Administrators, Marketing and Distribution.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Research and craft responses to clients, trustees and collateral administrators about portfolio holdings.
  • Use data from the Leveraged Loan team to develop pitch books, RFPs, and other marketing materials.
  • Handle ad hoc requests from clients, collateral administrators and prospects, such as reasons for purchasing/selling certain portfolio holdings and explanation of performance results to institutional investors.
  • Lead the monthly reporting process with external collateral administrator, ensuring deliverables to fund investors are completed on time and accurately.
  • Ensure portfolio is consistently positioned within marketing composites.
  • Participant in client/prospect interactions representing the Leveraged Loan Portfolio Management team and provide data/support as needed.
  • Analyze existing composites/funds for discrepancies and make buy/sell recommendations.
  • Analyze analyst, PM, and trader investment recommendations for alignment with strategy and recommend alternative courses of action.  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field.
  • Typically two years of investment experience such as research analyst, portfolio manager, trader, or investment operations for a registered investment advisor.
  • Background in RFPs and/or marketing.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate composites and funds.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA and/or CFA.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg data service and Aladdin portfolio management software.
