Role Definition

As the REPS (Retail Electric Power Solutions) Engineering manager, you will be responsible for the design and development of REPS Global Products. You will plan, direct and lead engineering staff and activities to ensure projects, initiatives and processes comply with established policies/objectives. You will own the Engineering Processes and drive continuous improvements in NPI timelines and product quality and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on organizational goals achievement, professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and continuously improving product and process performance, quality and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables.
  • Providing leadership to create and maintain processes used to design, develop and manufacture components, systems, products, services, and technologies.
  • Managing engineering product and manufacturing process or quality issues, from concept through end of life-cycle.

Experience:

Min progressive experience of 15 yrs post, post-graduation & 18 yrs post graduation

  • Prior leadership experience leading Engineering Teams.

  • In-depth experiences in either of the engineering Domains
    • Designs/Simulation
    • Development
    • NPI Process
  • Exposure in Managing Senior Stakeholders (GM/ VP/ Product Mngrs.)
  • Exposure to Caterpillar cross-functional systems, process & business. (SCM/Facilities/EDCI)
  • Experiences of Project Management (NPI/Six Sigma)

Degree Requirement

Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
