Job Description Summary
You will support the execution of GE HealthCare’s Global Security & Crisis Management program across Europe, working closely with regional security leadership. In this role, you will assist with operational coordination, incident monitoring, and crisis preparedness activities across a large, multi-site environment. You will gain hands-on exposure to corporate security operations within a global healthcare manufacturing organization. This part-time internship is designed to complement your university studies while providing practical experience in security and risk-related functions.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- You will support the Regional Security Director with day-to-day operational activities and regional security program execution.
- You will assist in coordinating and tracking security initiatives, including action items, risks, and follow-ups.
- You will serve as a backup point of contact for security-related queries from sites across Europe.
- You will support crisis preparedness and response activities in collaboration with regional teams, including exercises and after-action reviews.
- You will assist with monitoring security incidents and preparing summaries, dashboards, and trend reporting for regional leadership.
- You will support regional and global security initiatives such as travel risk management, business continuity activities, and physical security assessments.
- You will assist with coordination of vendors or small security-related projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
- You are able to work approximately 20–24 hours per week alongside your academic schedule.
- You are studying Security Studies, Risk Management, International Relations, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
- You are fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured environment.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint and AI tools.
- You are able to handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Desired Qualifications
- You have prior internship, academic project, or student leadership experience involving coordination, reporting, or analysis.
- You have a basic understanding of incident management, crisis response, or business continuity concepts.
- You are comfortable working in a global, multicultural environment across time zones.
- Additional European languages are a plus.
- You demonstrate a proactive mindset and interest in security, risk, or resilience-related topics.
