The SAP Master Data & Costing Analyst is a highly analytical problem solver responsible for ensuring the accuracy of BOMs, routings, and inventory data within SAP. This role plays a key part in validating engineering changes, identifying data discrepancies, and supporting costing processes, including cost estimation and variance analysis.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and confident in challenging data to ensure accuracy and drive informed decision-making.
About your role:
Maintain and validate master data in SAP, including BOMs, routings, and inventory records.
Support cost estimation processes and validate material costing in SAP.
Review, validate, and challenge engineering changes (ECOs) to ensure data accuracy and prevent downstream issues.
Establish and validate routing rates for new assemblies, ensuring alignment with manufacturing standards.
Analyze inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure accuracy of BOM structures, component data, and labor information, making corrections as needed.
Provide support to cost accounting, including cost analysis, cost reduction tracking, and variance troubleshooting.
Perform data analysis and track key metrics to support business decisions.
About you:
Minimum of a 2-year degree required.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or a related analytical field preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to read and understand technical and/or electronics-related terminology.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and levels.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and track large volumes of data accurately.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions and macros) and Microsoft Word.
Experience with SAP or ability to quickly learn and become proficient.
Ability to independently research, validate data, and challenge inconsistencies using data-driven insights.
Capable of troubleshooting complex issues related to multi-level BOMs and cost accounting.
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.
Experience or familiarity with SQL and database concepts is a plus.
