Essential Job Statements
Lead and mentor a team of direct reports and indirect reports, including category managers and analysts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and to meet customer needs.
Drive accountability within the team for achieving outcomes, maintaining high standards of quality, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Develop and execute sourcing and contracting strategies to optimize non-labor expense reduction while maximizing quality and customer satisfaction.
Manage sourcing and contracting spend categories, with a focus on minimizing expenses while ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as CMS, The Joint Commission, and DNV.
Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative stakeholders, supplier representatives, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) subject matter experts, and internal Supply Chain team members to drive strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sourcing and contracting initiatives, including realized savings, cost avoidance, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction scores.
Implement internal service level agreements to optimize processes to ensure desired goods and services are available when needed and at preferred price points.
Ensure responsibility and visible commitment of diversity equity and inclusion programs/initiatives through collaboration and implementation of initiatives across the health system.

Employment Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or related field
Preferred Education: Masters degree in supply chain, business or related field

Licensure/Certification Preferred: Certified Resource Management Professional (CRMP)
Minimum Qualifications
Years and Type of Required Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in sourcing and contracting experience, preferably in an acute healthcare setting.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving accountability for results. Knowledge of government regulatory bodies and compliance requirements in the healthcare industry. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday), contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools, and comparative price benchmark databases.
