We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager – Leisure, UK & Ireland to manage a dedicated team of account managers, overseeing a portfolio of UK and Ireland-based Leisure Agencies, including multi-point of sale Agency customers. In this role, you will provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to drive high performance and capability, ensuring the team achieves its business objectives. As a key member of the broader UK EMEA team, you will role model leadership behaviours, fostering a culture of employee engagement and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include maximising revenue, increasing yield, and retaining existing business while actively developing new opportunities. You will also manage expenditure within budget guidelines, align customer strategies with the overall Qantas strategy, and cultivate strong, multi-level relationships with customers. Collaborating with Global Sales and Distribution teams, you will play an integral role in representing the UK & Europe area and contributing to the delivery of global sales strategies. You’ll have –

  • Qualifications in business management –desirable
  • High level of IT literacy, including a good working knowledge of MS Office applications, RADAR and a high level knowledge of Salesforce
  • Exceptional people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
  • Strategic selling, account management and business planning skills developed in a competitive customer service environment
  • Strong commercial orientation and high level of business acumen
  • Highly developed negotiation, communication, organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management, both internally and externally
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Extensive knowledge and awareness of the UK & Europe airline and travel industry
  • Extensive knowledge of Qantas product and processes
  • Extensive knowledge of IATA NDC developments within the travel industry
