About This Opportunity
The Supervisor, Administration and Engagement (Wide Bay Learning Community) is a key leadership role within the Rural Clinical School team, based in Bundaberg. This position oversees the day-to-day operations of the Rural Clinical School, ensuring seamless delivery of operational and administrative support for both the Regional Training Hub and the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
As a senior member of the team, you will lead by example, driving excellence through a high-performing team and cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. This role is pivotal in enhancing the effectiveness of the school's programs and supporting the next generation of medical professionals.
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead and motivate the administrative and operational team to provide high-quality support for staff and students.
Oversee clinical placements, student activities, and events to enhance medical workforce recruitment and retention.
Ensure compliance with University policies and manage budgets to optimise operational efficiency.
Coordinate minor infrastructure projects and maintain effective Workplace Health and Safety measures.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure clear, transparent communication channels.

This role will primarily be based at the Bundaberg Hospital with regular travel to the Hervey Bay Clinical Unit and reports to the Senior Manager, Rural Clinical School.
About You
A degree in a health-related discipline with at least four years subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Successful track record and sound understanding of effective stakeholder engagement including relationship building, understanding stakeholder needs, translation of strategic objectives into operational activities
Proven ability to project manages multi-task, prioritise work and meet deadlines
Ability to gather, interpret and use data, information and insights
Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, outcomes-focused, teamwork
High level of interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency in relevant technologies, including MS Office Suite, and the capacity to take up new technologies if required to meet the needs of the role (i.e. communication technologies)
Desirable
Experience in and a commitment to living and working in rural and/or regional Australia.
Demonstrated relevant experience within the university sector or similar other large, complex organisation.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, mandatory immunisations.
