📐 About this role

The Sales development leader is responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of lead generation experts (SDRs) that target CIOs, CTOs and CMOs at Fortune 500/Global 2000 companies and large enterprises. You’ll provide guidance, coaching, and support to drive individual and team success. Your primary focus will be on driving pipeline generation from both new logos and existing accounts, establishing and iterating on repeatable sales processes, and helping Writer continually improve how we serve our enterprise customers.

Your positivity, curiosity, and ability to create champions from early adopters in the AI space will help shape our entire culture. If you have a builder mentality and are ferociously ambitious, this is the role for you.

As a senior leader in the business, you'll be reporting to our CRO. 

🦸🏻‍♀️ Your responsibilities

  • People. Effectively hire, coach, and inspire a team of global SDRs.

  • Win as a team. Partner with regional GMs, Sales, and Marketing leaders to create pipeline generation campaigns and strategies and drive toward exeuction.

  • High activity. Develop a highly productive SDR team by tracking daily, weekly, and monthly activity metrics spanning various platforms such as phone, email, and LinkedIn.

  • Experimental mindset. Have a strong experimental mindset on launching & refining new campaigs. Use data to inform next steps and build upon prior learnings.

  • Leverage technology and processes. Utilize cutting-edge technology in outbounding, resulting in highly customized and white-glove experiences for prospects, allowing your team to drive greater impact for the business.

  • Build. Create and refine SDR call scripts, email campaigns, outbound playbooks, qualification frameworks for your team.

  • Focus on strategic accounts. Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to gain access to senior leadership in Global 200 and Fortune 500 accounts.

  • ...and yes, maintain accurate info in Salesforce to help us scale what works!

  • 5+ years leading a high-performing enterprise sales development in a high-growth SaaS company 

  • Operationally excellent, with demonstrated experiences building and executing a highly prescriptive, value-based sales process 

  • A self-starter with an experimental mindset - there's no playbook, so we need your help building it!

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Sweat the details. Can get deep into data processes, listen to rep calls to uncover gaps, and identify areas ​​that need to be followed through.

  • Excellent written communication skills - everyone says that, but we sell to great writers, so we mean it.

    • Familiar with tools like Clay, Dripify, Apollo, Orum

    • Experience with international teams
