Lead and manage all aspects of multiple, larger and more highly complex information technology (IT) products and/or technical initiatives. Establish goals, metrics, determine future opportunities for change/improvements and provide training opportunities for associates. Manage budgets. Leads a team of IT architects, engineers, and developers. Participate in the development of policies, procedures, standards and controls. Lead Product development and support in partnership with business stakeholders.

Principle Duties:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for AI-enabled process optimization that encompasses  maintenance, runbook automation, and proactive incident management to drive operational efficiency and cost reduction

  • Leads and manages projects and/or technology initiatives; identifies and resolves technical, operational, and organizational problem

  • Mentor associates within the department and continually develop project team competencies.

  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships, coordinating service delivery in line with negotiated Service Commitments.

  • Manage the business partner's application portfolio by understanding and communicating needs to internal IT project teams and external vendors

  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure properly defined and communicated project requests.

  • Duties include hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, direct reports.

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry practices, trends and applications.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience Required

  • Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 9+ Years experience in project management, programming, or systems analysis. Required

Certifications

  • LOMA certification Preferred

Skills & Abilities:

  • Highly advanced project management and systems analysis skills. Demonstrates ability to evaluate project objectives and scope, analyzes objectives for feasibility, and gain business understanding. Required

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received by the customer. Required

  • Highly advanced people management skills, demonstrating an ability to lead, mentor and develop associates. Advanced interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to lead and mentor support staff. Required

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and/or sub-teams simultaneously, including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility. Advanced analytical and problem solving skills. Required

  • Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge. Required

  • Application Portfolio management experience. Required

  • Knowledge of modern programming languages Required

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies Required

  • AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, ML Frameworks, ML Ops

  • 2+ years people management experience Preferred

Compensation Range:

$107,060.00 - $159,390.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
