The College of Dentistry is looking for a Clinic Services Associate to serve in the department of Oral Surgery. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. What you need to know
Proposed Salary: $19.56 hourly
Work Schedule/Location: Located in Dallas, TX, this an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience in a general office setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Medical Records and eCW software
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of insurance billing and pre-authorizations
Ability to multi-task in a fast-pace environment
Experience in an Oral Maxillofacial Surgical Practice
More than two years of related experience in a general office setting
Responsibilities
Patient Support
Provides customer service to patients (both scheduling appointments and arriving to appointments) and maintains patient records and statistics in accordance with established procedures.
Greets and checks in patients, assisting them with their questions and needs.
Verifies patients’ insurance eligibility and benefits and obtains referrals and/or authorizations required for payment.
Supports other front desk activities as needed for multiple clinics.
Financial/Records
Collects payments for services and documents payments in electronic medical records.
Handles patient’s financial accounts.
Balances monies received and creates a report for designated personnel.
Update patient demographics in the electronic dental record while maintaining security and confidentiality of patient information and finances/payments while maintaining a computerized appointments system for multiple doctors in accordance with distributed calendars, guidelines, and individual requests.
Treatment Code Data Entry
Assists Clinic Manager with entering treatment codes and assists in processing patient refunds.
Assists in collection and maintenance of PHI.
