This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.
Job Title: Transport Porter
Location: Chessington
Working Pattern : 10:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday/40 hours
Salary: £12.90 per hour
Summary of Role:
To accurately sort & distribute orders received into transport into correct van routes and areas on the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately checking orders / totes from drop sheets paying special attention to route, according to procedures.
All missing orders / totes must be recorded and notified to a Line Manager.
Ensure orders / totes are allocated to pallet / route cage.
Prioritise orders / totes by route departure time.
Loading vehicles as per instructions, ensuring that all bins, boxes, bags are loaded in the vehicle in a safe manner.
Ensuring all loads are secure, following the correct load security processes.
Ensuring that all pallets and cages are stored correctly and bins, boxes, bags are stacked in a safe manner.
Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.
Any other tasks required by management.
Ensuring empty totes are sorted correctly.
Safe transfer of orders to loading bays.
Re-pick of missing orders where relevant.

Skills Knowledge and Experience

Committed to working in a hazard-free, world class health and safety environment
Any previous experience working in a warehouse environment would be highly desirable and any experience driving a Counterbalance forklift truck.
