Summary

The Senior Commercial Analyst in FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) will play a key role in analyzing the company’s commercial performance and developing communication pathways across the commercial teams to effectively manage the flow of sales related data. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of business processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the FP&A team, senior commercial leadership, and cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic initiatives that drive the company's growth and success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial and commercial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop detailed financial and analytical models to assess commercial performance, as measured through financial results, contractual data, and other key KPIs.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to provide actionable insights to senior commercial leadership.
  • Diligently utilize one’s resourcefulness to obtain accurate and insightful data that generates value for the commercial teams supported
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine the company's commercial results
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies that align with the company's long-term objectives.
  • Work closely with legal, finance, and other relevant teams to assess risks and opportunities associated with strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, namely the commercial team
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to senior commercial leadership and other key decision-makers.
  • Conduct thorough market and industry research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Manage and influence the flow of data via PowerBI for the commercial team.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Completion of commercial bank or investment banking analyst training program preferred

Work Experience

  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role within FP&A or Business Development
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Physical Demands

  • Predominantly operates in an office environment.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
  • Up to 20% travel required.
