Position details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer to join our End User Infrastructure team in Bangalore, India. The successful candidate will be actively involved in M365 architecture and engineering, with the primary responsibilities in the operational management of the Microsoft 365 platform across the APAC region. This role requires a strong focus on automation, scripting, and leveraging AI-driven capabilities to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and user experience. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) 
  • Develop and maintain secure, scalable architecture standards and governance frameworks aligned with enterprise requirements 
  • Provide L3/L4 operational support, ensuring platform stability, performance, and availability 
  • Lead and support incident, problem, and change management activities in line with ITIL practices 
  • Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Power Platform to streamline provisioning, monitoring, and reporting 
  • Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI technologies (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance operations and end-user productivity 
  • Implement and manage security and compliance controls, including Microsoft Purview, DLP, and identity protection policies 
  • Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to align with enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps 
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures 
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support teams 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Microsoft 365 engineering, administration, and operations within an enterprise environment 
  • Strong technical expertise in:  
  • Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive 
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and identity/access management 
  • Proven experience in hybrid environments integrating on-premises and cloud services 
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting (mandatory) 
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph API and automation frameworks 
  • Experience or strong understanding of AI-enabled workplace technologies, including Microsoft Copilot 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, DLP, and security/compliance controls 
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management practices 
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, or SC-400 
  • Experience in ITIL processes in financial services or regulated environments 
  • Exposure to VDI platforms (e.g., Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, W365) 
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools 
  • Experience working in regional or global teams across APAC
