Job Summary
This role is responsible for supporting senior leadership in developing strategic sales plans and pricing strategies while overseeing the sales team to achieve growth and profitability targets. The role acts as a trusted advisor to customer leaders, manages resource allocation, and ensures adherence to the legal and ethical standards in all sales activities. The role leverages data analytics, forecasting tools, and the latest sales technologies to enhance sales accuracy and align the organization’s offerings with customer requirements to ensure long-term profitability for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive growth within the state, local, and education markets 

  • Identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities within the SLED sector to expand market share 

  • Drive the achievement of aggressive revenue targets and profitability goals through innovative sales initiatives. 

  • Collaborates with pricing teams to establish competitive pricing strategies based on insights from sales data and market trends.

  • Provide insights and thought leadership on trends, challenges, and best practices in the public sector and education space. 

  • Experience in transformation of a sales organization from a traditional/transactional model to a consultative/partnership model  

  • Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of state, local, and education clients. 

  • Drive organizational change and operational excellence to improve sales processes, customer engagement, and market responsiveness. 

  • Ensures that the sales team adheres to all legal and ethical standards, including data protection regulations, industry compliance, and corporate governance.

  • Attract, develop, and retain top sales leaders, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. 

  • Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepares regular sales reports for senior leadership and stakeholders to measure the success of the sales efforts.

  • Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in sales, business management, project management, or a related field.

 Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $237,000 - $379,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
