Job Description

Job Profile:

In this role you will lead the business in determining effective and innovative solutions to improve and automate processes. You will closely partner with key business stakeholders across sales, human resources, supply chain finance, automotive, and IT functions to identify and prioritize automation opportunities. You will lead a development team to design robust automations, ensuring best practices are followed. You will establish an automation center of excellence and expand the citizen developer program to other business units, enabling business users to develop automations on their own. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the RPA tools, development best practices, business process knowledge, and technical skills.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business processes and identify and document opportunities for automation using Robotic Process Automation tools.
  • Develop automations aligned with business capability roadmaps, prioritizing support for current and future business opportunities.
  • Analyze existing processes, workflows, and systems to determine feasibility and potential benefits of automation.
  • Develop and automate processes using RPA tools, like Automation Anywhere and PMG Digital Business Platform to streamline and optimize business processes.
  • Continue to establish governance and standards for the automation team and ensure these standards are being followed
  • Establish an architectural runway to facilitate the timely implementation of high-priority business epics, features, and stories.
  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity across various business units
  • Continuously evaluate and improve automation processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
  • Maintain automation platforms, servers, and databases
  • Collaborate with citizen developers to identify and explore high-value automation opportunities across various business functions, including Global Business Services, Supply Chain, and IT.
  • Train and mentor citizen developers on automation development best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Conduct peer reviews of citizen developers’ work to ensure adherence to best practice guidelines and standards defined in the Citizen Developer working agreement.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for automation solutions, addressing day-to-day issues and optimizing performance.
  • Oversee the development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of automations.
  • Serve as a role model and advocate for automation excellence within the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in RPA and automation technologies.

Required Competencies:

  • Ability to apply strategic thinking to envision the future state of automation aligned with the organization's long-term objectives. This involves identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Having the deep knowledge of RPA technologies like Automation Anywhere
  • Effective communication skills with stakeholders across various departments is crucial for understanding their requirements and explaining technical concepts in non-technical terms.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems within all business areas and develop innovative solutions that leverage technology effectively.
  • Skilled in managing technical team members to ensure that all development standards are followed before production deployment
  • Working effectively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT professionals, vendors, and consultants, to achieve common goals.
  • The technology landscape and business requirements are constantly evolving, so staying updated with emerging trends, best practices, and industry standards is essential for success.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5 or more years related work experience with at least 3 years of experience building, deploying and supporting RPA solutions. Automation Anywhere experience is preferred but other RPA tools are sufficient
  • Automation Anywhere Certified Advanced Professional (preferred), with experience in intelligent automation concepts.
  • Experience in workflow-based automation tools like PMG Digital Business Platform is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, Power BI, APIs, SQL, and Windows Server administration is strongly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business processes across multiple domains.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Leader with ability to build relationships, inspire, grow, and coach others, and influence without authority.
  • Effective at building collaborative partnerships and navigating organizational structures to achieve shared goals and outcomes.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, testing, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new automation tools and technologies.
  • Experience working in an Agile methodology is essential.

Education/Certification Requirements:

Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

*** This role is hybrid, with three in-person days at our Atlanta office. This requirement is non-flexible.
