What are we looking to add to our team?
The Director of Human Resources will play a critical role in shaping our company culture and driving talent strategy. This position requires a forward-thinking leader with experience working in global startups and technology sectors, who can navigate a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about aligning strategic HR initiatives to business goals, demonstrates operational excellence, and leverages analytics and data to drive insights and action. This position is primarily responsible for serving as a strategic partner to senior leaders to influence and guide the development and deployment of strategies, programs, policies, and procedures ensuring HR initiatives are aligned with overall business strategy.
What you will be doing:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring scalability and adaptability in a startup environment.
- Translate company goals into impactful HR objectives that support business strategy.
- Align organizational structure to strategic objectives of the organization/business.
- Lead organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions during periods scaling the organization.
Talent Acquisition:
- Oversee global recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the tech industry, fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Managing the recruitment and onboarding process; developing and executing best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Partner effectively with HR and hiring managers throughout the search process, consulting on best practices and talent market insights, while providing a differentiated experience to leaders and candidates alike;
- Position and effectively articulate SeekOut’s employer brand and value proposition with industry leaders.
Talent Management and Development :
- Partner with leaders at multiple levels and their teams to execute HR strategies and activities that foster growth, innovation and organizational effectiveness. This includes collaborating on the design and implementation of programs, processes and tools to help set managers and employees up for success.
- Coach managers in handling conversations regarding career growth, performance management, compensation, and equity.
- Successfully coach and counsel managers on maintaining positive employee relations and serve as primary point of contact for managers on determining resolutions for a wide range of people-related issues.
Culture & Engagement:
- Cultivate a strong company culture that reflects our values, enhancing employee engagement and retention through initiatives and feedback mechanisms.
- Serving as a trusted resource to all employees and guiding them through career development and interpersonal conversations.
- Improving manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying issues, evaluating potential solutions, implementing selected solutions, and coaching and counseling managers and employees.
- Developing learning and development programs to develop staff and address performance gaps.
HR Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, maintaining best practices in all HR processes.
- Monitoring and ensuring the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviewing and modifying policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applying this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
Total Rewards:
- Ownership over administering the benefits and fair compensation programs across the organization.
- Actively participate in, and at times lead, the strategic planning and implementation of new compensation initiatives.
- Be the lead partner and work with key stakeholders to ensure the successful roll-out and adoption of new compensation programs.
- Provide recommendations based on analysis, and provide insights on market data to ensure organizational competitiveness in compensation.
- Identify disparities in compensation and work towards ensuring equitable pay internally.
- Lead and implement current and new benefit + Wellbeing initiatives.
- Manage annual benefit renewals for US Employees and collaborate with People Teams across other regions to guide and roll out benefits.
Data-Driven Decisions:
- Utilize HR analytics to inform decisions, track progress, and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Regularly monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) through HR analytics enables organizations to assess the effectiveness of their initiatives in real-time.
- Leverage HR analytics tools and methodologies to collect, analyze, and interpret workforce data, driving data-informed decision-making across HR functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and establish metrics that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Prepare and present findings to senior management, highlighting trends, insights, and recommendations to inform strategic HR initiatives.
You will be a great match if you have:
- 12+ years of HR experience, with a dedicated portion in startups or technology environments; experience in scaling organizations is a plus.
- Solid understanding of multiple human resource subject areas, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and labor relations, diversity & inclusion, performance management, and federal and respective state employment laws.
- Proven track record of being a strong partner to the business
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree in HR or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire HR teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Prior management experience required.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing agile HR practices that adapt to changing business needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across all levels of the organization; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven sensitivity to confidential materials/issues
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and responding to changing business conditions/needs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience leveraging data to drive decisions.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of HRIS and other HR systems with strong problem solving, reporting and analytical skills.

Base Salary Hiring Range: $125,000 to $180,000 annually
