Hourly Pay Range:
$33.16 - $49.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:
Sign on bonus: $25,000
Position: Respiratory Therapist - Nights
Location: Edward Hospital - Naperville, IL
Full Time | 36 hours/week
Hours: shifts will vary Monday - Friday from 7:00pm to 7:30am with every third weekend and holidays required
Required Travel: May float to Plainfield Emergency Center as needed
What you will do:
Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
Provide patient and staff education
What you will need:
Education: Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
License/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status.
State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within six months of employment.
Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 24 months of employment
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) within 24 months of employment
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 24 months of employment
