The Academic Center Project Manager II coordinates and manages day-to-day organization and operational issues and activities related to the performance of a complex task within a larger clinical or all tasks for clinical research trials. The Project Manager functions in a central leadership role by facilitating key trial communications for academic coordination, providing clinical perspective to the design and conduct of clinical trials.
A caregiver in this position works 8:00am—5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Accomplish trial objectives by organizing and leading internal study team to plan and implement organization for the trial for several years.
Develop planned site communication and training (i.e., Investigator meetings, newsletters, study progress updates, telephone communication, supportive reinforcement of sponsor communication, etc.)
Attend, participate and may present at Investigator Meetings.
Contribute tools and slides for training programs.
Initiate and develop educational instantiates and tools.
Maintain professional relationships with sponsors, which includes frequent, open communication and associated documentation.
Preparation and review of study status reports. Interacts with Finance to facilitate clinical trial budgets, site budgets and contract execution.
Act as a liaison between the Cleveland Clinic sites, sponsors, CRO or other vendors and the FDA.
Act as the primary point of contact for the academic leadership committees and coordinate their activities.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Associate degree in general science or related medical field OR nursing degree/diploma.
The following certifications are desirable: Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) from the Society of Clinical Research Associates; or Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA), Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), or Certified Principal Investigator from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
Five years of clinical research.
Four years of experience as an Academic Center Project Manager OR similar experience.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's degree.

Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires normal or corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
