As an Anatomic Pathologist, you will be responsible for microscopic examination of anatomic pathology specimens and preparation of pathology reports in a timely manner

In this role you will:

  • Meet caseload and turnaround expectations.
  • Be responsible for providing telephone consultations to clients.
  • Consult with and assist other pathologists
  • Interact with, advise and support laboratory personnel
  • Promote the growth of IDEXX by actively participating in scientific meetings and developing and maintaining professional relationships / contact with clients.
  • Participate in the quality control programs.
  • Maintain proficiency and develop diagnostic skills through regular continuing education.

Time may be provided outside of routine diagnostic responsibilities to allow the pathologist to engage in other professional activities as approved by management. Such activities should improve the function or professional reputation of IDEXX. CPD is enabled.
 

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Fluency in German and English language; further languages are an advantage.        
  • You have graduated from a veterinary school and have already gained further experience in Veterinary Pathology. 
    Pathology Board Certified - American College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) or European College of Veterinary Pathology (ECVP) preferred.
    Fachtierarzt für Pathologie / Fachtierärztin für Pathologie also considered.
  • You are familiar with current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine.
  • Preferably experience with speech recognition software for dictation.
  • You have excellent communication skills and interpersonal capabilities.
  • You are able to work independently on routine tasks.
  • Experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory is preferred.
  • You have a service- and team-oriented attitude.
  • You are able to organize and prioritize work
  • Computer skills are required
  • When working remotely, you will need to have access to broad-band and stable internet (50 Mbit)
