Ankura is a team of excellence founded on innovation and growth.

This position supports Ankura's Risk Advisory group - one of six practices focused on client delivery services across the Firm.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a tech-savvy, detail-oriented AI Automation Intern to help us modernize our administrative workflows. In this role, you will assist in designing and deploying AI agents specifically aimed at streamlining workflows including generating utilization reports, reconciling billing data, and managing internal documentation.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll bridge the gap between software development and business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Agent Development: Assist in writing and prompting AI agents to automate repetitive data tasks.

  • Data Integration: Help connect AI tools to internal data sources to pull real-time metrics.

  • Workflow Mapping: Audit current manual processes and identify where an AI agent can save time.

  • Testing & QA: Run "stress tests" on AI outputs to ensure that billing calculations,  utilization percentages, etc. are 100% accurate.

  • Documentation: Maintain clear logs of agent prompts, logic flows, and instructions so the team can manage them long-term.

Requirements:

  • Current Student: Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Data Science, Business Information Systems, or related degree program.

  • Technical Interest: Basic proficiency in Python or JavaScript; familiarity with API integrations is a huge plus.

  • AI Literacy: Experience using LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) and an understanding of prompt engineering.

  • Analytical Mindset: You enjoy looking at a messy spreadsheet and finding a way to make it "talk" to other systems.

  • Attention to Detail: Since you’ll be working with billing and utilization, a "close enough" attitude doesn't work—precision is key.

Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current payrate for this internship is: $24/hr.
