We are seeking an Intern for Transport Aftermarket Services in North America, in Charlotte, NC.!
The Intern - Transport Aftermarket Services, N. America will support key initiatives within our Flygt Aftermarket Service organization. This role is designed for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who wants hands-on exposure to industrial equipment, service operations, and cross-functional business processes. The intern will work on a variety of short- and medium-term projects that contribute directly to service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational improvement.
Assist with special projects related to pump repair efficiency and financial performance, recruitment effectiveness, and
Collect, analyze, and organize operational and financial data (e.g., lead time reports, service revenue, install base data, etc...)
Support documentation efforts, including work instructions, service procedures, and project summaries
Collaborate with engineering, service, sales, and operations teams on assigned initiatives
Help track project progress, timelines, and deliverables
Conduct basic research on competitors and/or industry best practices
Prepare presentations or reports for internal stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned to support aftermarket service objectives
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related), Business, Operations, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Interest in industrial equipment, manufacturing, or aftermarket services preferred
Curiosity and willingness to learn in a hands-on industrial environment
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in both office and shop environments (as applicable)
Real-world experience in pump aftermarket service operations
Exposure to engineering, repair processes, and customer-focused service work
Mentorship from experienced professionals in the pump and rotating equipment industry
