Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strong analytical person to join our team as a Business Analyst. The person will be responsible for managing all tasks and activities related to business analysis and reporting.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about data and analysis, and who is looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic team. This role will maintain current processes, create new performance standards, and problem solving to establish new ways of working together. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the business analysis including Sales and cost of sales for any of the Hillenbrand entities. Primary activities include facilitating and implementing activities that improve processes/systems supporting sales functions across Hillenbrand.

Team:

This role will be setup in the Hillenbrand Global shared service Organization – Coimbatore, India supporting corporate functions within Hillenbrand. This role will be working with multiple operating companies and partnering with a diverse and cross-functional team.

This role will have the opportunity to work with and learn from teams that are geographically diverse (Asia, Europe, and North America) and expected to interact with various functional groups data systems (GSM, Plant Operations, Sales, Commercial, Engineering, etc.).

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

Data analysis: Collecting, organizing, and analyzing sales and cost data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities.

  • Utilizing statistical models and software to conduct comprehensive data analysis.
  • Segmenting sales and margin data based on various parameters, such as demographics, regions, or customer segments

Sales forecasting: Collaborating with sales managers to forecast future sales based on historical data and market trends.

  • Conducting market research and competitor analysis to refine sales forecasts.
  • Monitoring forecast accuracy and making adjustments as necessary.

Reporting: Creating regular reports and dashboards to communicate sales and margin performance, identify improvement areas, and measure effectiveness of business strategies.

  • Presenting complex data in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand format.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide insights that inform decision-making processes.

Functional Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, data Science, or a related field with a minimum 2 years of work experience in similar industry
  • Experience working in ERP, CRM and CPQ environment.
  • Competent in building Power BI reports, creating interface between ERP and BI reports for auto updates, and publishing reports from Power BI to SharePoint and other shared spaces.

Soft Skills:

  • Attention to detail and corelate multiple moving data pieces to create a storyline.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Sense of urgency and assertiveness in taking the lead and identifying opportunities.
  • Friendly interpersonal skills with an emphasis on process while problem solving.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools.
