The Learning Domain, situated in the central HR team, is transforming how we build skills and grow careers by ensuring the design and development of high-quality, impactful learning experiences. Working with the CBA Domain lead for Skilling and Learning, the Learning Design Chapter plays a crucial role in this effort, driving the creation and curation of learning content and ensuring that it aligns with our strategic goals and meets the needs of our people.

The Learning Chapter Area is responsible for providing learning and development expertise across the full ‘end to end’ learning process/cycle. This includes partnering, consulting, designing, developing, implementing, and managing learning initiatives/products that enable our people to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles and ultimately achieving our goal of +30 NPS.

By fostering a culture of learning, the Learning chapter contributes to employee engagement, talent retention, and overall business success, ultimately ensuring that CBA remains competitive and agile in a rapidly changing world.

The learning chapters have been split by 2 main skill groups:

Learning Partnering

The purpose of the work performed by Learning Partner/Consultants is to strategically align learning and development initiatives with the organisation’s goals, identify and address needs, and provide expertise to ensure effective learning solutions to achieve business and customer impacts.

Learning Experience and Design

The purpose of the work performed by Learning Experience/Design professionals is to curate, develop/create engaging and effective learning materials and environments, ensuring a positive and impactful learning experience for participants.

Do work that matters

  • Collaborating with the Learning Partners, Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to provide guidance on industry design best practice and optimal solution design. 
  • Collaborate and manage content with other Designers and team members to increase overall individual and team knowledge/skill. 
  • Design, create and develop blended learning solutions (including facilitator-led sessions, webinars, online modules, and performance support artefacts), programs and evaluations across varied learning digital technology and delivery formats.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement process of learning and delivery from a design and overall content perspective to ensure creation of learning experiences that support the workforce of the future and drive great outcomes for our customers. 
  • Keep abreast of global best practice design, focusing on innovation and continuous improvement. 
  • Help to drive the digital learning revolution within CBA. 
  • Delivering on our customer aspiration by displaying a continuous improvement, innovation and a customer obsessed mind-set  
  • Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders ensuring there is constant alignment between the business strategy and learning priorities. 
  • Collaborate with squad members from different chapters to problem solve and ensure a broader alignment to CBA skilling to maximise resource and impact.  
  • Utilise data and feedback to inform metrics and leverage these to support continuous improvement efforts, in partnership with the PO & chapter lead 

We’re interested in hearing from people who possess

  • Advanced skill level in Articulate authoring tools and emerging learning technologies 
  • Advanced instructional design experience, encompassing solution architecture, storyboarding, and content development for a wide range of learning experiences
  • Proven graphic design experience, including the creation of visually engaging learning materials, infographics, and multimedia assets that enhance learner engagement and comprehension
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and developing digital learning solutions and programs following an agile methodology 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to build and manage relationships 
  • Experience in human centred design highly regarded
