Reports to Senior Business Development Manager

The purpose of this position is to support the growth of the business through sales and delivering a high level of administrative support to the Business Development Team. Senior Business Development Executive will work closely with the senior leadership in London, supporting them with their everyday activities, including preparation of client fee proposals, due diligence questionnaires, Request for Proposals (RFPs), presentations, organisation, contact and opportunity data management on our CRM system Salesforce, document management, support with direct marketing campaigns, presentations, undertaking market research and business development events.

The role will also involve proactive sales, identifying and pursuing opportunities for new business in the UK private equity and private debt market primarily. The candidate will be required to develop a network with key introducers in the London market and have a self-starter mindset to help drive business growth.

The candidate will need to collaborate extensively with colleagues, senior management and partners in other departments across the Group. The candidate will on occasions attend meetings held jointly with intermediaries and potential clients to ensure clarity of the Aztec Group customer proposition and key messages to targets and over time develop their own network.

Excellent organisational skills, time management and attention to detail will be key. Candidate will be expected to maintain and further develop a library of business development tools for a multi-product/multi-jurisdictional business, working closely with the team to achieve this.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Creation of fee proposals and maintaining Business Development templates and tools
  • Assisting with preparation of Request for Proposals and Due Diligence Questionnaires
  • Assisting with prospective and existing client meeting coordination, preparation of agenda and presentation material
  • Following up on new business opportunities and arranging introductory and follow up meetings
  • Undertaking market research and providing support with marketing campaign outreach
  • Management of contact and opportunity database in Salesforce and Business Development tools on SharePoint
  • Developing own network of industry contacts and introducers and building and contributing to a solid pipeline of new business
  • Assisting with the organisation of Business Development and Marketing events
  • Ad-hoc tasks and project work as requested

 

Skills, knowledge, expertise:

  • 3- 5 years’ experience working within the financial services industry
  • Relationship and sales experience
  • Confident and clear communication skills
  • Ability to put together proposal documents to a high standard (excellent IT skills)
  • Can do attitude, with a high achievement drive and ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative and team-based approach
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with strong proactivity and attention to detail
  • Self-sufficient, with strong activity levels
  • This role may require occasional travel.
