Inventory Control Specialist, Dearborn Hospital- 18101 Oakwood Blvd- Dearborn

Schedule: Full Time, 6:00 a.m- 2:30 p.m.

Pay: $18.78

Job Summary

Reviews and analyzes data and develops reports to summarize inventory control data. Acts as a resource to staff, managers, and other departments related to area of specialty.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and generates reports or forms and distributes to appropriate people, monitoring information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a consultant to staff, management, and other departments to educate and ensure continuity and coordination of services.
  • Analyzes data to maintain appropriate inventory levels and reorder points to maximize inventory turns.
  • Reviews stock outages daily.
  • Manages the cycle count process daily.
  • Analyzes monthly reports to identify low usage items and facilitate the removal of them in conjunction with purchasing.
  • Analyzes stocking locations to ensure appropriate space is allocated in all warehouse locations.
  • Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of hospital safety and infection control policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of relevant experience inventory management or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
