Job Description:

About the Role
The Grade 2 Registered Nurse, under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or Associate Nurse Unit Manager, will be responsible for the delivery of expert clinical care in his/her specific area. The Grade 2 Registered Nurse will be responsible for ensuring his/her own professional development in order to maintain clinical skills and knowledge.

  • Provide the full range of nursing services

  • Participate in mentor / preceptorship programs

  • Participate in Unit meetings and orientate new staff as directed

  • Participate in ongoing education by attend training and study days as required or requested

Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 per annum pro rata)


Your Contribution

  • Degree in general nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

  • Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA

  • Cardiology experience essential

  • Cath Lab experience highly desirable

  • Postgraduate Degree in Cardiology or Critical Care desirable

  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Cardiac Investigation Unit
The Cardiac Investigation Unit at St Vincent’s is an innovative cardiac catheter laboratory with a focus on interventional cardiology. The unit functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team that offers the full range of cardiac diagnostic services. The unit operates, Monday to Friday with an on-call roster operating for the Registered Nurses.
