Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behaviors, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance in a dynamic work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business-critical applications.
- Document troubleshooting processes and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
- Assist in the implementation of system updates and patches to enhance application stability and security.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on resolving technical issues.
- Manage and support Microsoft Windows 365 Cloud PCs.
Key Responsibilities
-Create and manage:
-Provisioning policies
-Cloud PC profiles
-User/device assignments
-Azure Network Connections
-Create, maintain, and deploy custom Cloud PC images.
-Manage devices through Microsoft Intune:
-Compliance policies, Configuration profiles, Security policies
-Win32 application deployments
-Windows updates
Troubleshooting:
-Provisioning failures, Intune sync/policy issues, Application deployment failures, Login/connectivity/performance issues, Hybrid join and enrollment issues
-Support endpoint security, compliance, and patch management activities.
-Perform L2/L3 incident troubleshooting, RCA, and operational support.
-Develop basic automation and remediation scripts using PowerShell.
-Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and KT documents.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with:
-Microsoft Windows 365 Cloud PC
-Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager)
-Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
Experience in:
-Cloud PC provisioning
-Image creation/customization
-Win32 app deployment
-Device compliance & security policies
-Windows 10/11 administration-
-Troubleshooting knowledge of:
-Enrollment issues
-Policy conflicts
-Connectivity/performance issues
-Update & patching failures
-Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
-Experience with:
-SCCM / MECM co-management
-Autopilot
-Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
-ITIL processes
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Intune.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
