What You’ll Do:

As an Associate Manager of Consumer Insights at NinjaTrader, you will join a team delivering strategic insights that inform mission-critical business decisions. Your qualitative and quantitative research will influence audience definitions, new product development, marketing strategies, and operational support. This is an impactful role that will influence the shape of NinjaTrader for years to come.

In this role, you will:

• Manage end-to-end consumer-insights research projects: The person in this role will serve as project lead on consumer insights research, including project design, execution, analysis, and reporting. The right candidate will be able to receive guidance from the head of Research & Insights and from key project stakeholders and then be comfortable executing on each stage mostly autonomously and mostly in a DIY capacity.
• Bring qualitative research expertise to NinjaTrader: This role will entail a split between qual & quant methods, but we’re specifically looking to extend our qual capabilities and seek someone who can bring a wider variety of qual methods to our organization.
• Support stakeholders across the organization: This role sits in the Marketing Department but supports research needs from across all major departments. The right candidate will be someone who can work collaboratively and cross-functionally across a wide variety of types of internal stakeholders.
• Serve as an expert on our prospects & core audiences: The person in this role will become one of our go-to resources on the company’s target consumer audiences—who they are, what they care about, and why. The right candidate will be genuinely curious about what makes people the way they are and will advocate on behalf of these consumers as clearly and accurately as possible.
• Inform company strategy: The contributions of this role will provide key inputs into major strategic decisions made by company leadership. The right candidate will be ready to wear two hats: one as a qualified, experienced researcher; the other as a strategist who’s committed to helping their colleagues solve important business problems.

 

What you'll need:

• 3-4 years of experience conducting market research or consumer insights projects
• A proven track record of personally running DIY research projects from end to end
• A strong background in qualitative research; experience conducting in-depth interviews is essential, but expertise in additional qual methods is ideal
• A solid background in quant research methods, especially surveys
• Ability to analyze data in survey analysis software, like SPSS or Q/ Displayr
• Experience creating research reports in PowerPoint or similar for a variety of audiences, including executives looking for strategic summaries
• Ability to present research—both what you found and how you found it—to a variety of internal audiences
• Comfort with managing day-to-day relationships with research vendors and their reps
• Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and driving successful outcomes
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, present to senior leadership, and drive alignment across teams
• A vision for what qual & quant consumer insights research can bring to a scaling organization like NinjaTrader
• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and brings clarity to ambiguous situations
• Low ego, high EQ, and a collaborative work ethic

Bonus Points For:

• Supply-side experience at a market research agency or similar
• Advanced quant research techniques, like segmentations, MaxDiff, pricing, etc. are a bonus
• Consumer research in the fintech space

Compensation:

The salary range for this role will be $100,000 - $115,000 USD annually. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of up to 10%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%). 

Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual PTO allowance begins at 15 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays. Additional details on our total compensation package and benefits are listed below.
