As a Power Platform Developer you will perform functional design analysis, solution development and configuration, application support, and delivery of Office 365, Power Platform, Modern SharePoint Framework and Microsoft Teams’ Application in accordance to agreed standards and service levels.

What will you be doing?

  • Participating in Product Development: Engaging in a cross-functional product squad, executing tasks from the product backlog as prioritised by the product owner.
  • Designing Solutions: Creating product solutions and features that meet the requirements defined by the product owner, refining these through discussions with teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
  • Reviewing Design Alignments: Examining system and functional designs to ensure they conform to RAC Software Engineering standards and practices.
  • Implementing Secure Solutions: Developing solutions and features in accordance with RAC's security practices, standards, and guidelines while enhancing quality assurance measures.
  • Ensuring Testable Requirements: Validating that functional requirements are interpreted correctly and can be tested using RAC endorsed QA practices, tools, and frameworks.
  • Automating Processes: Establishing build and release processes utilising DevOps principles to ensure automation from end-to-end and managing service transition of developed solutions.
  • Supporting Operational Excellence: Providing operational support for the product by implementing monitoring and alerting, responding to alerts, and performing on-call duties, coupled with driving continuous improvement within the squad and ETS (IT).

What are we looking for in you?

  • Educational Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline are mandatory. Certifications in Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Dynamics, and Microsoft Azure are desirable.
  • Experience: Experience in SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, or Power Platform development. Dynamics 365 experience is highly valued but not mandatory. Extensive development experience with .NET Framework (all flavours) and front-end JavaScript frameworks is highly regarded.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PowerApps, Power Automate, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint Online. Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting, .NET Framework/C#, HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Angular/React, SQL Server/T-SQL, and development of PCF controls. Experience with Azure services, architecture, and management is advantageous.
  • Development Methodologies: Experience working with a DevOps approach to delivery and operations. Familiarity with agile development teams, iterative delivery, and CI/CD practices.
  • Analytical Skills: Understanding of software development lifecycle activities and fundamentals of quality assurance within IT release and deployment contexts. Ability to analyse, design, and implement solutions effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong and effective communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences. Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external development teams, participate in analysis and design workshops, and provide application support.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Adaptable to changing demands and situations. Availability to meet operational working hours, including on-call duties on a rotating roster, and reasonable overtime. Flexibility in work time and approach is essential.
