Summary of Job Duties:
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) position at the UAMS El Dorado Family Medical Clinic offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our Family Medical Care services. The APRN will work closely with physicians to provide comprehensive primary care to patients, ensuring seamless coordination, continuity, and consistency in patient care.
The APRN will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services and promoting the overall health and wellness of Arkansans. They will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and administering medications. Additionally, the APRN will provide instruction to individuals on a daily basis in a variety of methodologies, including didactic, bedside, and clinical educational experiences.
The APRN will also contribute to the development of academic programs, ensuring that nursing students receive the best possible instruction. They will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to facilitate translational opportunities, ultimately contributing to the advancement of healthcare research.
The APRN at UAMS El Dorado Family Medical Clinic is expected to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with patients and the public. Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing, specializing in Advanced Practice Nursing (APRN).
- Current licensure as an APRN in the state of Arkansas.
- Two (2) years of nursing experience.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other specialists.
- Experience providing patient education and counseling.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
