Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced and motivated professionals for the role of a Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist with experience in supply chain management, or related fields, to include business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, or manufacturing. The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems Sector supporting the G/ATOR production programs in the Advanced Land Sensors OU. This position will be working in our Baltimore, MD facility.
Roles and responsibilities include:
Manage on time req release, PO placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedule.
Manage material budget for contract requirements. Support baselining/EVMS requirements.
Manage/report and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program(s).
Act as CAM to support Program PLATO/CEAC/EAC activities.
Identify and manage program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements.
Analyze lead times and identify critical path procurements.
Monitor and address supplier capacity and/or production issues.
Maintain strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment that consists of leading-edge technology suppliers.
Support Program proposal activities (BOE creation, CBOM review, etc)
Support development of supply chain strategy – including supplier development and supplier risk management, which may include development of secondary sources.
Liaison for assigned program(s) and supply chain management function including buyers, planners, subcontract administrators, scheduling, customers and suppliers, etc.
Represent GSC in Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and leadership briefings (internal/external).
Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of supply chain and/or material inventory management, shipping and logistics, or supplier management experience. OR a master's degree and a minimum of 6 years of supply chain and/or material inventory management, shipping and logistics, or supplier management experience
A minimum of 2 years of direct experience as a Supply Chain Planning Specialist
Experience with proposals
Material CAM experience (EVMS, IMS, Baselining, forecasting)
US Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Shop order launch experience
Non-MRP procurement experience
