Account Payable Leader
LOCATION: SSC Guadalajara, Mexico
REPORTS TO: Accounts Payable Chief
The Accounts Payable Associated will be responsible for to process payables accurately and on time and ensure effective communication with internal and external personnel.
Core Responsibilities:
· Ensures the accuracy of the entire AP process as it relates to vendor payment, processing of purchase orders, receiving invoices, payment of invoices and communication with vendors and internal customers.
· Monitoring the full account payable cycle from invoice processing to payment.
· Ensures company policies and procedures are being adhered to as they pertain to accounts payable.
· Manages and completes all projects as assigned.
· Identifies areas of continuous improvement and manages work on required solutions.
· Executes audit requests.
· Manages A/P KPIs and ensures the compliance of the SLAs.
· Prepares performance department reports as required.
· Communicates all activities to the SSC Director and escalate important issues when appropriate.
· Promote, develop, and maintain effective communication, interaction, and excellent relationship with internal customers, including ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met.
· Ability to guide design and strategy for use of electronic system tools to improve process, mine data, extract, and report data.
· Looks at issues from a fresh viewpoint and adapts to the changes created by the environment. Willing to take risk and explore the new, untested, and unknown.
· Develop a sense of trust and teamwork results; create associations with collaterals, similar positions, clients and internal suppliers.
Qualified candidates will have:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
· Extensive proven experience in Accounts Payable activities.
· Minimum four years of high-volume A/P experience with at least two years of supervisory experience; Bachelor’s degree.
· Adequate and sufficient knowledge in general accounting.
· Written and verbal Portuguese communication skills.
· Written and verbal English communication skills (desirable).
· Experience in managing transaction with banks and suppliers.
· Proven proficiency in the use of Office and ERP (SAP desirable).
· Demonstrate experience to analyze and solve problems.
· Strong organizational and follow up skills.
· Ability to prioritize based on urgency and lead team through high volume and stressful time periods.
· SAP, ESKER, and CONCUR experience a plus.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Ability to manage time, details, and deadlines adequately.
· Ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new skills.
· Ability to deal effectively in a rapidly changing organization.
