Sabre is seeking a talented Software Engineer II to support the LGS Rail Team. This person will report to Mateusz Jedruch-Jedrichowski.

 

The Rail department enables agencies and companies to book and manage rail trips. We consolidate and normalize rail content of multiple railways companies under a modern RESTful API (Content Services for Rail) and create a UI application called Sabre Rail 2.0 for travel agencies. Our products provide a wide range of functionalities, including shopping, booking, ticketing and aftersales.

 

We have two Agile/Kanban teams, working closely with product manager. We foster collaboration, you will have the opportunity to be involved in frontend, backend, testing and design.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develops, implements, tests and debugs and documents new software solutions or enhancements to existing product

• Designs, plans, develops and improves applications using routine and advanced technology

• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires gaining an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques

• Encourage high coding standards, using best practices and high-quality solutions

• Regular interact with different stockholders on matters concerning product or team.

• After gaining experience be a part of periodic 3rd level support (once per a few months)

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• 1-3 relevant years' experience

• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent certifications

• Experience in fast paced Software Development in Agile environment

• Experience in web technologies stack: Java, Spring, Hibernate, Typescript, React, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, GIT

• Experience in writing different types of tests (unit, integration, e2e, performance, smoke)

• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies including GCP platform

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

• Proficient English, both written and verbal

• Self-disciplined and commitment oriented

Nice to have:

• Experience in Unix, GKE, Ansible, Docker

• Cloud native applications
