KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Is accountable for day-to-day operations including team member performance expectations, implementation of action plans, work processes, scheduling, and resource management.
Oversees development of standards of care, preferred practice patterns, protocols, and clinical procedures using evidence-based practice to ensure quality care.
Provides oversight, feedback, and education to ensure accurate billing and coding to maximize reimbursement and compliance.
Develops and evaluates standards in accordance with regulatory guidelines; maintains necessary documentation for accreditation purposes as well as operational delivery.
Supports educational activities necessary to enhance and maintain mandatory requirements, specific competencies, and team member continuing education programs. Serves as a clinical resource to all members of the healthcare team.
Assists in fiscal requirements to determine budgetary recommendations.
Compiles data for operational reports and analyzes progress and trends, and makes appropriate recommendations to enhance strategic effectiveness.
Proactively promotes putting the patient and family first through facilitating positive patient experience and providing service recovery as needed.
Demonstrates best practice and accountability in the performance of assessment, reassessment, development, and implementation of the patient’s therapy plan of care; consults with other disciplines as required to coordinate patient care services.
Fosters clinician autonomy through individual professional development and mentorship to support the team’s success in advancing their profession.
Promotes successful relationships with referral sources and within the community to enhance strategic growth and gain market share.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in physical, occupational, or speech therapy
Three years of clinical experience
Licensed in Wisconsin as a physical therapist, occupational therapist, or speech therapist
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance
Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Climate controlled office or home setting
Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers
Occasional to frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock
Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents
Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients
Use of computers throughout the work day
Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingers
