Workshop Operations Manager

Currently, we have an opening for a Workshop Operations Manager. In this role, you are responsible for the management of the workshop operations to meet the requirements of the business and to ensure work is completed in compliance with Company quality and safety standards.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee all aspects of workshop operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards.

  • Manage work orders, communicate with customers on progress and changes, and assist in quote preparation.

  • Develop and implement processes to achieve workshop targets and business goals.

  • Monitor job costs, control expenses within budget, and recommend capital improvements.

  • Lead, train, and motivate the workshop team, ensuring performance aligns with company policies.

  • Stay updated on industry developments and recommend improvements to processes and practices.

  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, promoting a safe work environment.

  • Maintain clear communication with customers, ensuring timely delivery of committed projects.

  • Uphold company values and support community initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you bring along

  • Postsecondary education in a mechanical, electrical, or related technical discipline.

  • At least 10 years of experience in related industries; experience with Sandvik equipment is an asset.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve performance goals.

  • Solid business acumen, aligning operational goals with business objectives.

  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools, including Maximo, PowerBI, and Salesforce.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, with advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proven ability to manage changing priorities and handle multiple tasks effectively.

  • Flexible, self-motivated, and proactive, with a track record of taking initiative.

  • Highly developed organizational and time management skills.
