About the role

Join the Partner Solutions (PSI) team as a Manager, Cyber Defense & Strategy. In this role, you will define the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap to strengthen PSI’s cyber resilience—translating business priorities and the evolving threat landscape into actionable defensive capabilities and measurable outcomes. You will lead a team focused on secure architecture and platform engineering, data protection, security control testing, and penetration testing coordination, while partnering closely with the other security teams to ensure an integrated, end-to-end defense posture.

What you'll do here:

  • Set the vision for the Cyber Defense & Strategy function and translate it into a multi-year roadmap across secure architecture & platform engineering, data protection, security control testing, and penetration testing coordination.

  • Establish a clear operating model, service objectives, and success metrics; continuously mature capabilities, processes, and tooling to improve resilience and reduce risk.

  • Drive a structured capability maturity plan (people, process, technology), prioritizing initiatives based on risk reduction, business needs, and the threat landscape.

  • Define and implement secure-by-design architecture standards and scalable engineering patterns, embedding security across cloud, SaaS, and on-prem platforms in partnership with key stakeholders.

  • Lead the implementation of security controls across cloud, SaaS, and on-prem platforms, partnering with cloud service team to deploy, validate, and continuously improve controls aligned to risk and measurable outcomes.

  • Own the evolution of data protection capabilities by translating business and regulatory requirements into guardrails and controls and validating effectiveness over time.

  • Build and run a robust security control testing and assurance program to verify control effectiveness, support compliance needs, and deliver evidence-based reporting.

  • Plan and coordinate penetration tests and external assessments: define scope and rules of engagement, oversee vendors, track remediation, and drive re-testing to closure.

  • Provide leadership through ambiguity and during high-severity events by ensuring clear decision-making, stakeholder communications, and executive-ready reporting in coordination with incident response leaders.

  • Align cross-functional partners around priorities by communicating risk in business terms, building consensus, and driving decisions to closure.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • 10 years of information security / cybersecurity experience, including 3 years managing technical teams.

  • Strong experience across core cybersecurity domains, including network & infrastructure security, identity and access management, vulnerability management, security governance/risk/compliance, security architecture, encryption, and data protection.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate cyber risk into strategy and execution—building roadmaps, defining measurable outcomes, and driving delivery across stakeholders.

  • Experience operating in heterogeneous, complex environments spanning cloud, SaaS, and on-premises technologies.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills, including the ability to influence across diverse teams and lead through crises.

  • Ability to prepare and present clear, compelling materials to communicate complex concepts and drive stakeholder alignment.

  • Recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or GSEC are an asset.

  • Bilingual (French and English): Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required; candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
