About the Role:
This is a Senior Leadership Team role, working across the organization to drive growth into the Hedge Fund and Asset Management client base. These firms have dynamic and very specific use cases for our premium and trusted news and data. The successful candidate will develop growth plans and strategies to expand revenue with Hedge Funds and other sectors of the Asset Management markets globally. They will work with internal stakeholders in sales, product management, marketing, news, business development and research to identify white and brown space opportunities and develop programs to grow the pipeline and ultimately win new business. They will lead the development of data and products designed specifically for Hedge Funds and Asset Managers.
You will:
Work across the broader Dow Jones organization, including WSJ, Newswires, Factiva, Private Equity News, Financial News and Barron's, to position Dow Jones data and products for hedge funds, asset managers, and adjacent market segments.
Develop and maintain market analytics for the key developments in the financial industry. Understand and share intelligence on competitive data and information products for hedge funds and asset managers.
Participate in sales pipeline meetings and analyze sales and revenue trends to identify areas of opportunity and challenge.
Provide sales support through the provision of regular monthly topic-based e-mails and articles to assist with client and prospect outreach.
Deliver regular training and updates for the sales team, to enable them to conduct more informed outreach to their relevant hedge fund and asset management prospects.
Provide marketing and sales with “brown-space” analysis to assist in growing Dow Jones subscriptions with existing clients and winning new business.
Collaborate with marketing and sales to optimize product positioning and provide market insights to inform commercial policies and pricing.
Act as subject matter expert for Dow Jones both internally and externally at public-facing conferences and events.
Build a network of influential heads of Hedge Funds, Asset Managers and other financial institutions through events and regular meetings to assist in developing partnerships and driving business development and growth for Dow Jones’ products.
You Have:
Bachelor's degree in Business or STEM related subject(s) and at least 10-15 years’ of relevant work experience, preferably working at a hedge fund or large asset management firm, dealing with sophisticated data sets including news, alternative data and/or research.
Excellent English communication skills (Verbal and Written)
The candidate should enjoy working with multiple stakeholders across different levels of the business and using multiple in-house systems.
Ability to understand the clients need, and then build and negotiate an appropriate product package offering, in conjunction with the commercial team.
The ideal candidate will need to be detail oriented and task driven with a strong work ethic and able to work in a fast-paced environment, as well as excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure to achieve set deadlines and with a high attention to detail.
Must have strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills (written and oral) and be self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve results.
Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and the use of analytical tools such as databases, spreadsheets, process documenting and business intelligence applications
Experience/knowledge of data visualization applications, data analysis and data modelling

Base Pay Range: $210,000 - $255,000
