Position Summary
You will maintain and improve site utilities that keep our manufacturing running safely and reliably. You will operate, maintain and support systems such as HVAC, chillers, boilers, compressed air, water treatment and effluent systems. You will work closely with engineers, production teams, contractors and suppliers to deliver safe, compliant and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot utilities systems including HVAC, chillers, boilers, compressed air, water purification and effluent treatment.
- Supervise and coordinate daily work by internal teams and contractors to ensure safe, timely and cost-effective completion.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance and keep accurate maintenance records in the CMMS.
- Support utility projects from planning through commissioning and handover, including small capital works and upgrades.
- Monitor energy and water use, identify efficiency opportunities and support cost reduction initiatives.
- Carry out risk assessments, self-inspections, and gap analyses, and implement actions to meet safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or related engineering field.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in utilities, maintenance, or facilities in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience with HVAC, chillers, compressed air and water systems, water treatment, effluent systems and boiler statutory requirements.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or similar asset management tool.
- Good understanding of safety practices and basic regulatory or quality requirements for utilities.
- Proven experience supervising contractors and managing spare parts inventory.
- Exposure to commissioning, validation support, or technical documentation for utilities.
- Experience with energy management, monitoring, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to lead small improvement projects.
