The Red Hat Software Production - Cloud Workflow team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will join a team that is focused on the User Interfaces for Red Hat’s product build+release pipelines and Trusted Application Pipeline offering. Our main focus are interfaces and tools for trust software supply chain pipelines used by our customers and ourselves. The team is distributed and cross-functional. You'll collaborate with software engineers, user experience designers, site reliability engineers and other functions to build and support  end-to-end delivery of those products. 

As a Software Engineer you will help us ensure that our solutions meet current demands and anticipate future challenges that drive Red Hat’s secure software supply chain vision forward. You will own and contribute to design and code reviews, and continually drive improvements in our development processes and practices.

What you will do:

  • Contribute to the development of cloud native developer experience

  • Work together with the team, UX designers, and Product Owner  to provide the necessary user interfaces

  • Work closely with upstream projects, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality features and capabilities for Red Hat solutions

  • Take responsibility and ownership of development work and strive to produce quality software

  • Work closely with quality and documentation teams ensuring your deliverables are covered

  • Work in an agile environment and prioritize workload around release schedules

  • Conduct design and code review sessions

  • Enforce code quality and performance

  • Analyze feasibility by presenting proofs of concepts

  • Apply design patterns to solve problems

  • Investigate and improve the established development processes

What you will bring:

  • Proven software development experience especially web development related projects

  • Very good understanding of React.js and Javascript

  • Very good understanding of TypeScript

  • Proficient in HTML and CSS

  • Experience developing and building scalable web-based applications in cloud environments

  • Proficiency with Linux

  • Ability to speak, read and write English at a professional level

The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience with development/build tools like git, webpack, yarn, etc

  • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing library, PlayWright, and Cypress

  • Experience working with a distributed team

  • Experience with agile development

  • Familiarity with open source development, projects, and processes is a plus

  • Familiarity or interest with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms in general

  • Familiarity with NodeJs and Golang
