Role Summary

The Integrated Business Director is the senior commercial and operational lead within the VML Thailand team, responsible for delivering complex regional communications programs and business initiatives across international markets.

This role bridges strategy and execution — translating regional brand strategy, campaign frameworks, and transformation initiatives into structured, commercially sound, and operationally disciplined delivery.

The Integrated Business Director drives integration across strategy, creative, media, CRM, data, production, and market teams, ensuring that all outputs are delivered on time, on scope, and with financial accountability.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring assertiveness, direct communication, classical agency training, and the ability to manage multi-market complexity with clarity and control.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of regional communications campaigns across multiple markets.
  • Operationalise regional playbooks and ensure structured rollout across international markets
  • Guide markets in adapting central frameworks to local realities while maintaining strategic consistency.
  • Coordinate inputs from strategy, creative, media, CRM, and data teams into cohesive deliverables.
  • Ensure campaign frameworks are scalable, efficient, and commercially sound.
  1. Client Advisory & Regional Project Structuring

  • Lead regional project planning from briefing to execution.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into clear workstreams and agency action plans.
  • Guide cross-market inputs and consolidate into structured regional outputs.
  • Act as senior operational counterpart to client stakeholders.

  • Conduct cost analysis across agency models to identify efficiencies and uplift opportunities.
  • Monitor margins, utilisation, and delivery performance across workstreams.
  • Support negotiation and refinement of SOW structures aligned with regional complexity.
  • Ensure financial visibility and predictability across assigned markets.
  1. Business Strategy & Market Deep-Dive Execution
  • Project manage business strategy initiatives, including deep-dive market analysis.
  • Coordinate inputs across markets for strategic diagnostics, opportunity assessments, and growth roadmaps.
  • Ensure structured outputs for regional leadership and global stakeholders.
  • Drive actionable implementation plans from strategy workshops and regional planning sessions.
  1. Agency Operations & Process Uplift
  • Identify operational inefficiencies across regional workflows.
  • Improve integration between capabilities and markets.
  • Strengthen delivery governance, escalation pathways, and accountability.
  • Support the uplift of agency operating models, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
  • Reinforce process discipline across capability meetings, market interactions, and global alignment forums.
  1. Timeline & Delivery Control
  • Assertively manage timelines and delivery milestones.
  • Hold internal and external stakeholders accountable.
  • Anticipate risks and resolve delivery bottlenecks.
  • Escalate strategically when required, with solutions, not problems.
