The Trans Srvcs Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for providing analytic and administrative support to various securities related functions, in coordination with the Transaction Capture team. The overall objective of this role is to support traders, maintain position records, and improve process efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide transactional processing support for Documentation Unit
  • Analyze support documents to ensure correctness of the transaction
  • Process transactions in the platforms complying with all Citi policies
  • Check transactions issued by other analysts and correct them when necessary
  • Review / issue Legal agreements related to Trade Finance and Products, based on templates available
  • Review documents for internal consistency and compliance with governmental documentary regulations and import/export restrictions
  • Provide creative solutions to reduce errors and to ensure adherence to audit and control policies
  • Provide back-up coverage for team members and assist team members during high volume periods (Analyst or Checker functions)
  • Utilize technical knowledge in order to deliver quality service and achieve operating efficiency
  • Participate in activities related to compliance with procedures and control
  • Minimize risk to the bank through increased knowledge of procedural requirements
  • Maintain awareness of product changes and system enhancements
  • Ensure attendance at mandatory trainings.
  • Interact on a daily basis Business partners, Product Heads and Senior Management.
  • Manage on a daily basis all pending and service related activities, ensuring the processing and dispatching and delivery of very high quality service to our customers and internal partners
  • Responsibility to ensure smooth, error free process flow
  • Responsibility for the maintenance of a control environment.
  • Provide support to all operational processes as needed
  • Demonstrated competence in related area
  • Participate in UAT, implementation and training if needed
  • Participate in process migrations
  • Perform within departmental procedures and compliance standards in order to minimize losses to the Firm
  • Execute moderate to complex transactions
  • Assist with special reports and projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in operational areas Strong proven problem solving skills
  • Must be able to adapt to change in a fast paced environment and support other Units as required
  • Proven time management skills
  • Demonstrated people leadership/management skills and the ability to influence and empower people
  • Strong focus on control
  • Quick learner; comfortable with and able to manage in complex systems environment and associated development process
  • Technically proficient: is able to optimize available system solutions and implement process improvements as needed. Able to explore new systems and can adapt quickly to new processes.
  • Self-motivated, can work under pressure with minimum supervision, and able to manage multiple tasks and meet assigned deadlines. Confident and assertive in character

  • Able to handle high volume of work. Willing to work overtime as needed

Education:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferably educated to a Masters’ level, preferably in accounting, finance, statistics, engineering or business management 
  • Advanced skills in MS Office including Power BI
  • Process migration experience is an advantage
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish. Portuguese is an advantage
