Job Description

The chart-topping podcast dept at DMG is seeking Social Video Editors to help transform our award-winning podcast slate into engaging short-form video content for social media platforms and our website.

Candidates will create, package and publish videos from our fast-paced London newsroom, transforming podcast discussions into engaging videos to capture the imagination of millions worldwide. Your role will be pivotal in identifying attention-grabbing podcast segments that align with our target audience's interests on platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

As part of our global podcast initiative, experience editing both video and audio content, combining both skill sets to attract new listeners to DMG’s rapidly expanding podcast portfolio.

 

Requirements:

  • Edit and upload short-form podcast video content.
  • Write engaging copy to boost audience engagement and retention.
  • Gather performance data to help shape and refine content strategies.
  • Collaborate with podcast stakeholders to boost reach and followers.
  • Stay ahead of the latest trends in podcast production and social media.

 

Required Skills and Qualities:

  • Experience in content creation for podcasts.
  • Familiarity with Daily Mail’s podcast slate and social accounts.
  • Experience in audio editing and Opus content creation is preferable but not essential.
  • Skilled using Adobe Premiere, Audition & Capcut with experience using transcription-based editing tools as an advantage.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to match the dynamic nature of a busy newsroom environment.
