Your Job:
 
The Courier Driver delivers and picks up supplies, equipment, lab specimens, mail, data reports and other items on a daily route. Also acts as a support person in the Mailroom.

Your Job Requirements:

•  High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Valid Texas drivers license
• 1 or more years' of work related experience including:Driving a company vehicle, Familiarity with the city of Dallas and surrounding communities, Good driving record, Obtaining proof of delivery signatures
•  Knowledgeable about and follows safety measures.

Your Job Responsibilities:

• Delivers and picks up supplies, lab specimens, equipment, mail, data reports and other items, adhering to a preplanned schedule. Utilizes package tracking application to record pick-up and delivery handoffs routinely uploading data to assure timely data is available to answer customer inquiries.
• Answers the department telephone in a polite manner, accurately recording data and responding to the customer needs.
• Represents MHS in an honorable manner adhering to driving regulations and driving in a polite and courteous manner. Preserves the condition of MHS owned vehicles, keeping vehicles properly maintained, cleaned and orderly.
• Secures vehicle, keys and contents at all times.
• Prioritizes deliveries and picks up departmental and patient care supplies, including STAT orders.
• Reports all minor and major repairs or accidents as they occur to the Manager of Transportation and Mailroom.
• Sorts incoming mail and processes outgoing US mail when time permits.
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability and performs other duties as assigned.
