The Nike Direct EMEA Stores Development Fleet Planning team seeks a specialist to support the process of geographically optimizing our current and future fleet of stores, through data-driven recommendations. You will be working closely with colleagues from Store Development and across the wider Nike Stores organization, to shape our future strategy using qualitative and quantitative spatial insight. This role reports to the Fleet Planning manager for EMEA.
We are looking for a Fleet Planning Specialist to apply spatial insights that shape Nike’s future, supporting strategic investments and enhancing consumer engagement through an optimized store network. The ideal candidate is adaptable, collaborative, analytically strong, and proficient in geospatial data and software, with the ability to draw and communicate insights that align with our overall strategic direction.
In this role, you will:
Assist with the development and innovation of methodologies that set the standard for fleet planning excellence, from store performance driver analysis to predictive sales forecasting and spatial optimisation
Drive the evolution of fleet planning by maintaining and enhancing the datasets and software that underpin all of our analysis
Lead multiple priorities, including data collection and governance to automating reports and documenting approaches and results
Partner with teams across Nike, from Stores Development to Global HQ, to create compelling presentations and contribute to regular high-profile fleet review processes
Dive into a variety of ad-hoc projects, delivering insights on everything from store clustering and consumer segmentation to foot traffic analysis and the digital ‘halo’ effect
You’ll be a key player in the 50-strong Stores Development team, reporting directly to the Fleet Planning manager. Collaboration will be at the heart of your work with colleagues across Nike Stores, partner teams, and Global counterparts, as well as experts in Insights, Data Science & Analytics, and Strategy.
Exceptional spatial analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for both the big picture and the finer details
A versatile approach to analysis, capable of shifting from high-level strategic thinking to precise, unit-level recommendations
An understanding of the geographic drivers that contribute to variable store performance, with a good understanding of the typical location planning process, and the current retail landscape - particularly across major European cities
Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, impactful messaging for all levels of leadership
Demonstrateable flair for visual presentation, from creative slides and reports to compelling maps and dashboards
Prior experience in spatial analytics for retail, preferably with a large retailer or specialist retail / property consultancy preferred
Proficiency in Alteryx, Tableau, and other spatial data tools, as well as data management. Previous coding experience (Python, SQL) is an advantage
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) essential
Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal skills
