SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

The Sales Operations Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the System Engineering organization at Pure Storage. This role is a hybrid of sales operations, business analyst, reporting, analysis, and project management. You will be the first line of support connecting and assisting our SEs on a daily basis. You will work in a complex, fast-moving environment with multiple senior stakeholders to create & maintain business reporting, act as a liaison between the business and Salesforce teams, operationalize processes, and manage projects to support the growth and efficiency of the SE Org.

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Improve efficiency and automation for our System Engineers day-to-day job functions to continuously improve core processes while actively identifying and eliminating efficiency gaps
  • Support sales leaders with insights, tools, and project management that lead to actionable and efficient strategic results
  • Evangelize a data-first approach in measuring success: establish reporting and analytics, tracking and monitoring of improvements against key performance metrics
  • Develop and document business requirements for new features (product and process)
  • Take a consultant like approach to the business to foster new strategies and approaches for SE Leadership and counterparts for senior executives to engage with their leaders or counterparts
  • Work cross functionally with operations, legal, marketing, finance & compensation to plan and execute on compensation plans, quota setting, territory design & alignment, capacity planning, and budget 
  • Design communication and training strategies for process changes, including identifying the appropriate learning process, timing, execution, and delivery
  • Partner with IT to thoroughly complete development testing on release items impacting the SE Organization
  • Creation of key knowledge base articles to support further educating our SEs on new/updated processes developed and released
  • Manage communication channels for the SE Organization to ensure insights, updates, new processes, etc. are effectively shared

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • 4-5+ years of sales operations, business operations, and/or management consulting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in the quantitative field from an accredited university
  • Extremely comfortable with Salesforce, Salesforce Reporting, etc…
  • Experience with JIRA, Anaplan, & Netsuite is a plus
  • You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability and confidence to concisely convey complex information to senior management
  • You have strong analytical and strategic thinking skills and a passion for creative problem solving
  • You are a self-starter, fast learner, and adaptive to working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly pivot
  • A good track record with process ideation, implementation, and modification with strong foresight, and attention to detail for the identification of upstream, and downstream effects of process changes

 

  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office or the Chicago office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

 

The annual base salary range is: Santa Clara $108,000.00 – $163,000.00 or Chicago: $96,000.00 - $145,000.00

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
