Job Overview
The Summer Intern – Distribution Associate is a team-oriented individual eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic distribution environment. This role provides exposure to core warehouse operations, including receiving, restocking, picking, packaging, and inventory support, while contributing to a clean, organized, and safe workplace. The intern will actively support the Distribution team while learning and embodying Stryker’s Mission and Values.

Responsibilities

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members and internal departments to support daily operations and foster a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation
  • Demonstrate and learn Stryker’s core values: Integrity, Accountability, Performance, and People

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with receiving, restocking, picking, and packing of products
  • Support accurate verification of goods prior to shipment
  • Help prepare and maintain basic shipment and inventory records
  • Participate in inventory organization and stock replenishment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment
  • Assist with general warehouse duties and special projects as assigned
  • Follow proper lifting techniques and safety guidelines when handling materials (up to 50 pounds with guidance)
  • Work on feet for extended periods and assist with use of ladders when required

Conduct & Compliance

  • Follow all company policies, including the Stryker Code of Conduct
  • Perform all tasks in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards
  • Maintain high ethical standards and report any concerns appropriately
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines

Education & Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Distribution, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred)
  • Interest in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations
  • Previous experience in a distribution or warehouse environment is an asset but not required

Additional Information

  • This is a temporary summer internship position (typically 8–16 weeks)
  • Requires availability for full-time hours (up to 40 hours per week)
  • May require flexibility to work various shifts ( 9-5 / 11-7 / 2-10 )
